During his lifetime, Samuel Pedrick, a prominent Ripon figure, lawyer and local historian, compiled genealogical information and family histories into numerous notebooks. In 2006, the Ripon Public Library completed a restoration project in which the entirety of the Pedrick genealogical notebooks was digitized and indexed. Electronic versions, searchable by name and full text*, are now available through this website. A custom-printed, nine-volume hardcover set was also created for use in the library.
Cross-reference links to other indexed names are provided where possible.
The abbreviations "Necrol" refer to the "necrologies," Samuel Pedrick's prior working notebooks from which the Pedrick Genealogy Notebooks were compiled. The library does not have access to these documents; however, the Ripon Historical Society or Ripon College Archives may be of further assistance.
*Due to the varying quality of the original documents, the full text search should be considered as supplementary to the last name index.
