The Apple iPad is more than just an e-Reader, it is a touch-screen "tablet computer" that allows you to surf websites, write emails and do many things available on a traditional laptop.

Overdrive on an iPad
Simply download and install the Overdrive app (which also work on the iPhone and iPod touch) from the app store, check out a title, authorize the iPad with an Adobe ID, and download the title to your app. Everything can be done right on the iPad - no computer necessary.
