Barnes & Noble Nook
About the nook
The Barnes & Noble Nook is available in a Color version and a Classic version:
The Nooks ARE compatible with our Overdrive Digital Download Center. Look for the EPUB, PDF and MP3 format files.
Transferring to a Nook
With your checked-out, downloaded book available in Adobe Digital Editions, switch to "Library View" (as indicated by the icon in the upper left highlighted in tan that looks like a shelf displaying book spines):
When you connect your Nook to the computer, an additional "Bookshelf" displays, called "Nook":
To transfer the title to your Nook, you'd simply click on the book cover in the right-hand side of the screen and drag it to your Nook "Bookshelf". Look for the little green plus (+) symbol next to the book cover indicating that it is correctly positioned to make the transfer. When you release your mouse button it will copy to the location over which you were hovering (in this case, the Nook):
You'll find your Overdrive downloads on your Nook under "My Library", "My Documents."
- "User not activated" appears when trying to open Overdrive ebooks on the Nook
- Adobe Digital Editions doesn't recognize your Nook when you plug it in; close and reopen Adobe Digital Editions. If that still doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall Adobe Digital Editions.
