The Sony Reader offers three different models, the Pocket, the Touch and the Daily:

The Sony e-readers ARE compatible with our Overdrive Digital Download Center. Look for the EPUB, PDF and MP3 format files. For both the EPUB and PDF e-books, you’ll need to download and install the Reader Library software to your PC. The Reader Library software should be accessible from your e-reader device when connected to your PC.
Transferring to a sony reader
With your checked-out, downloaded book available in Reader Library, connect your Sony eReader and a new "Reader" item displays in the left column:
To transfer the title to your Sony reader, you'd simply click on the book title in the right-hand side of the screen and drag it to your "Reader" on the left. Look for the highlight around the Reader and the book title duplicated in transparency indicating that it is correctly positioned to make the transfer. When you release your mouse button it will copy to the location over which you were hovering (in this case, the Reader):
And the eBook now displays on the reader within the Reader Library software:
